In the SEND Provision section we have added information including how we consult with pupils with SEND at Tow Law Millennium Primary School.
Please access this information from the SEND Provision menu.
SEND Parent Partnership
Parents are informed as their child is placed on our list for Pupils with extra difficulties in line with the SEND Code of Practise 0-25. Parents are able to access our SEND Policy via the school website www.towlaw.durham.sch.uk or a paper copy is made available on request.
Parents are involved in all stages of this process. All parents are actively encouraged to be involved in their children’s education and work alongside school staff to evaluate progress and identify next steps in provision.
What We Offer:
- We hold termly meetings to review progress of SEND. This is led by the class teacher and, where appropriate, one of our SENDCO’s. At this meeting the focus is the child’s progress and outcomes for the future.
- Outcomes are reviewed in partnership – but if parents/carers do not attend, a reminder will be given and following that a copy of the paperwork will be posted out.
- An annual written report is published in the summer term of each academic year.
Paperwork is completed for Annual Reviews of EHC Plans (Education Health Care Plan), as well as reviews of support plans, at least termly.
If you have any questions about SEND please contact the school and we will try our best to help you.
