In September 2018, we created a ‘Sports’ Leaders’ group. This group is made up of twelve KS2 pupils. Our group meets every Friday afternoon to complete projects and to enhance the skills of the sports’ leaders to give the pupils throughout the school the best opportunities possible. The sports’ leaders are chosen through an interview process at the end of each academic year.
So far in this academic year 2019-2020, the Sports’ Leaders have enjoyed working on different projects and delivering games at break and lunch times. We have watched their skills and confidence flourish and can’t wait to see what they can achieve in the near future.
Our Sports’ Leaders would like to say:
“We have loved being sports’ leaders so far this year! It has helped us to improve our confidence and leadership skills as well as our knowledge on a variety of sports and games. We have been able to complete projects; so far we have completed the “Aldis kit for schools” project and we are looking forward to the winners being announced. Fingers crossed we win as we would love to provide the health legacy our school deserves! We have also started the change for life project, we hope this helps us to become more healthy and active as a school. We are so excited to hear what project is in store for us in the summer term.”
