Mr Pavey's New Job

Parents and children have been learning that Maths is Magic. They have been part of a Family Learning Project to encourage parents to find out what types of maths activites they can enjoy with their children.

Pond Dipping

Class 2 children were very excited on Friday 8th May as they were off to Burnhill Nature site to pond dip. The excitement was not related to pond dipping but to see the new outdoor classroom built by Mr Bell so the children could have all day visits.

Butterflies Galore!

The children of Tow Law Millennium Primary are hoping for butterflies galore this summer. They have been raising caterpillars in class that will be released into the butterfly house in the Foundation Stage outdoor area.

Loss of a Loved One

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs Alice, our chair of governors, on July 7th 2009. Staff and pupils all send their condolences to Mr Donaghy, and his family at this sad time. Mrs Alice's funeral took place at St Philip and St James Church on Monday 13th July at 1.15. The family requested that instead of sending flowers, mourners contributed to the Bobby Robson Cancer Fund.

School Uniform

Could we please remind parents that school uniform should be worn - this consists of grey or black trousers or skirt, yellow/white polo shirt and royal blue sweatshirt. Black school shoes should be worn. 

All children should bring their PE kit into school on a Monday morning and leave it in school unitl Friday afternoon.

 Children are allowed to wear a watch and small stud earrings however no other jewellery  or bands should be worn. 

Make up is not allowed at any time.

Wildflower Planting at the Millennium Green

On Tuesday 29th September the School Councils from our school and the Blessed John Ducket School worked together to plant 340 wild flowers around the edge of the Millennium Green. The visit was arranged by Jenny Mountain, from the Community Centre and Mr Bell, a school governor.

Children from both schools really enjoyed planting primroses, daises, red campion and other wildflowers. It is hoped that these plants will be the beginning of a wildlife area to encourage insects and butterflies.

Chinese New Year

All classes enjoyed learning about the Chinese New Year festival. Parents were invited to attend a Chinese lunch with their children. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
